| Alex Virji was born in 1986 in London where he still lives and works. A recent graduate of City and Guilds art school in London, Virji sees painting as a form of archaeology, unearthing and exhuming different painting conventions. His small oval paintings recall both 16th century miniatures as well as later French Rococo paintings suffused with the effects of 20th century science fiction. |
