Ella is a troubled teenage girl living in a residential care home as part of her foster placement. After a year of homelessness and watching her mom struggle, Ella is angry and distrustful of the world around her. When she is expelled because of an outburst, social services cannot find an immediate new placement for her, and Ella has nowhere else to go, posing a problem for Ella's new social worker, Sam. Ella's dynamic with Sam is hostile and turbulent, tested to its limit when Ella and Sam unexpectedly embark on a road trip over the school holidays. As they travel through the landscapes of Ireland, the pair is confronted with their fears and vulnerabilities. But slowly, they come to trust one another and discover that healing can happen with unexpected connections.

SHORT FILM 🎬 Lili

 

Taking place in the 1960s, "Lili" is a romantic drama centered around two ambitious music students battling each other to win one prestigious composing prize. "Lili" pays tribute to the trailblazing composer Lili Boulanger, the first woman to win France's most prestigious music prize, the Prix de Rome. The film examines what it means to be an artist in a world that's not ready for you, the turmoil of competing in a male-dominated field, and the complex emotions of falling for a rival.
