Zelko Nedic :: Golden Scars

The series ''Golden Scars" came as inspiration from Kintsukuroi, Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken. The author wants to stimulate viewers to think, to make their own interpretations and associations. About who and what we are and why we act the way we do. Zelko Nedic has been working on this series using an aluminium plates from the skip and photographing his subjects by 80 years old Eastman Kodak large format camera, wet plate collodion Tintype process.

Dato che niente possiede il nome che gli diamo e tutto c'era già quando non avevamo ancora un significato da dargli, ne deriva che il mondo, oltre a un valore fisico ne ha anche uno linguistico. Ma questo ha fatto sì che la realtà si frammentasse in concetti, perché nessuno può affermare con certezza mentre passeggia in un cimitero e legge i nomi sulle lapidi, che esistere abbia un senso concreto e non sia piuttosto un'ipotesi o una fantasmagoria.
Allora a chi spetta educare l'uomo nel suo cammino? Alla Storia, alla Scienza, alla Religione o alla Filosofia? L'unica a fare progressi è la Scienza, ma la sola che sappia trasmettergli insieme distacco e appartenenza è l'Arte. Per questo, dalla nascita del teatro in poi, la vita viene avvertita come una commedia dalla gente comune, una tragedia da quella sensibile e una farsa da chi ha maturato la convinzione che tutto sia un gioco.
