Secondo Pon, la divinità suprema degli Jukaghiri, il frutto proibito non proverrebbe dall'albero della conoscenza, ma da quello della distruzione. Per questo ho l'impressione che se potesse, l'uomo trasformerebbe le galassie in un campo di battaglia. Perché non è grazie alla ragione, ma contro la ragione che esiste la Storia. Il suo impulso non è comprendere, ma impadronirsi. Già il bisogno di piantare una bandiera sulle cime più alte del pianeta o sulla luna appena conquistata, fanno pensare ad un Angelo Sterminatore che minaccerà l'universo scordandosi da chi proviene.
