Funerale di una giovane donna morta di leucemia. Nella piazza antistante la chiesa non vola una mosca, mentre dentro si sente la gente inneggiare all'altissimo. Lodi e canti che hanno più il compito di far amare la vita a chi è salvo che a mitigare lo strazio dei congiunti.
Se invece di pensare al suo popolo, Mosè si fosse preoccupato dell'umanità, avrebbe puntato il bastone contro il cielo: in quale altro modo un dio deve usare l'eternità se non come un tempo infinito per sanare ogni danno?
