Pieter Hugo ~ The Hyena & Other Men

A few years ago, photographer Pieter Hugo of Cape Town, South Africa came out with a striking portrait series titled ‘The Hyena & Other Men‘. The portaits were of a group of men in Lagos, Nigeria that kept Hyenas as pets, like dogs on chains. Hugo toured with them for 8 days and produced some startling portraits which quickly spread through the web, resulting in several gallery shows and a book.

Andreas Nicolas Fischer (*1982, Munich, Germany) concerns himself with the physical manifestation of digital processes and data through generative systems to create sculptures, videos, prints and installations.
He holds an MA from the Berlin University of the Arts, where he studied in professor Joachim Sauter´s class. The artist lives and works in Berlin.
